Webflow Updates and Features: 2026 Edition
We're exploring major 2026 upgrades including real-time collaboration , GSAP animations , and AI-powered CMS management with Claude.

Webflow has been pumping out a lot of new features and quality of life updates since the new year. The company has been mostly focusing on AI in their marketing materials, but the updates go much further.
Quick Editing on Live Pages
You can now enter the designer from a webpage on the live site by typing ?update at the end of the URL. It might not be the most used feature for the average user, but it is a cool little trick if you need to make a quick edit on a big website or if you’re going through bug tickets.
Real-Time Collaboration
This has been a thorn in all our sides for a long time, and finally we can now all work on the same project at the same time! This was a very welcome feature allowing for faster site building and collaboration between all of our teams.
Google Ads
Google Ads was added to the Webflow Marketplace, making it less technical for people who just want to get some tracking up and ready without much hassle.
More Flexibility to Components and CMS Pages
This one was huge—having a more powerful way to add variables and make dynamic items more dynamic. You never realize how rigid something is until you get more flexibility.
To give you a better picture of what this looks like in practice, Webflow added more nesting capabilities, meaning you can now have collections inside of other collections. On top of that, they made the conditionals way more robust. Instead of just basic rules like "hide the heading if it's empty," you can now add a bunch of complex logic—like saying "if this page was written by a certain author, then swap out these images."
GSAP

Webflow has been migrating to GSAP animations from their old system. GSAP allows for a whole lot more control over animations, but it can be pretty overwhelming for certain tasks. Luckily you can always load up the old animation builder if needed. Either way it's a great feature to have if you’re more animation minded.
Editing Interactive Elements in Build Mode
This was a bit of a sleeper update that I really think needs more attention. Things like slides or tabs can be very annoying to work with, especially if you have a lot of content. Now we have a little dropdown to select which slide you want to jump to without the hassle of clicking around and hoping for the best.
Client Seats
Having multiple people working on the same thing like we talked about before is fantastic. Even better than that is having multiple people from multiple companies working in the same project.
Webflow and Claude
Using the power of Claude, you can now manage your CMS items via chat. Have a bulk update you want to make across multiple entries? Now you can!
Copy and Pasting Interactions Between Sites
One thing that makes Webflow great is that you can copy and paste parts of your website to other websites. This is helpful if you have multiple brands or just want to start fresh, but with the introduction to GSAP that didn’t work until now.
